Group singing lessons
Are you interested in singing together in harmony? Join a choir!
In a series of 15 or 12 lessons, you will discover a diverse repertoire together with a group of up to 20 people. Singing a lot is central to these lessons. The power of the group gives you the joy of making more sound! The healing sounds of singing together can help build stronger self-confidence and a stronger voice.
At Ease Vocal Club, we don’t use sheet music; instead, we learn the arrangements with lyrics during the lesson. We practice the harmonies together step-by-step, focusing on hearing how the voices blend and simply enjoying making music.
Twice a year, a presentation takes place in a beautiful location in Amsterdam to perform the repertoire for friends and family.

Find your Community
Our choirs are a great place to connect with like-minded people and get to know people from your area. As a group, you will build a beautiful singing repertoire and work towards a performance, a beautiful connecting moment! In our choirs, music is shared together, participants sometimes practice together and spontaneous plans arise to meet with each other after the lesson.
All singing levels are welcome in our choirs and it is not necessary to be able to read music. Do you have a lot of experience singing in a choir or no experience at all? Let us know and we will help you find which group best suits your wishes.
Genres
With our choirs we sing an extensive repertoire ranging from pop to soul numbers.
For example, in previous choir series we sang:
‘I’m Like A Bird’ (Nelly Furtado)
‘As’ (Stevie Wonder)
‘Fix You’ (Coldplay)
‘Hardest Part’ (Olivia Dean)
‘Landslide’ (Fleetwood Mac)
‘Easy On Me’ (Adele)
‘Total Praise’ (Richard Smallwood)
‘Where You Lead I Will Follow’ (Carole King)
‘Let’s Stay Together’ (Al Green)
‘Natural Woman’ (Aretha Franklin)
Choir lessons per Period
You can register per period for a choir. Each summer there are special shorter series Summerchoirs. There are three periods of 15 and 12 weeks per year. Do you want to continue after the period? Very nice! Many participants continue and stay in the same group. This way you build a group sound together and the choir gets better and better.
You can always stop after a Period or switch to another choir.
Are you too late to start with the current choir series? Please contact us to register for the next period.

FAQ about our custom made workshops
No, a trial lesson is not possible for our choirs. We want to build repertoire with the group and allow our choirs to grow in sound and confidence. We like to facilitate this in a safe, relaxed atmosphere. This is not easily achievable if a new person frequently enters and exits the lesson.
A few times a year, we organize open choir lessons; these are one-time lessons with one of our teachers for anyone who would like to try out a choir lesson. In this lesson, you will experience what a lesson is like and what we work on. So, this is not a trial lesson in an existing choir.
Yes. Some choirs have more experience, have been singing together for longer, and are advanced. Other groups are mixed in terms of singing level, or have more beginners. After registration we’ll ask you what your experience is with singing (in a choir) and what your availability is.
Based on this, we will find a nice group for you together!
We don’t sing from sheet music, so there’s no need to read notes. Working from the lyrics, we learn the arrangements by ear during class. We build the harmonies step by step together, keeping the focus on hearing the blend of voices and truly enjoying making music.
No, this is not possible.
No, not at all! After each lesson, you’ll receive recordings of both the individual voice parts and what was sung during class. This way, you can easily prepare for the next lesson at home. If you already know in advance that you’ll miss several classes, please let us know beforehand. Together, we can see whether it makes sense to join this term or wait for the next one.
Yes, this is possible. In that case, we will let you know when a spot in the choir becomes available again from the next period onwards.
Some groups are Dutch-speaking only, while others are open to international members and are primarily English-speaking. Preferences are discussed prior to or during the lesson, and we accommodate everyone's needs as much as possible. Every teacher speaks Dutch, so even in English-speaking groups, explanations can always be supplemented in Dutch.
Twice a year we organize a performance where you can perform the learned repertoire to friends and family. It is not mandatory to participate in this, but it is a lot of fun to work towards with your choir!
Soms is het mogelijk om later in te stromen in een koor. Neem contact met ons op als je graag wilt meedoen maar de reeks al eerder van start is gegaan.
Yes, this is definitely possible. At the end of the lesson series, we ask the choir members if they want to continue in the choir. If you are already singing in the choir, your place in the choir is automatically reserved for the next series. Often a large part of the choir continues for the next period.
No, we do not provide choir lessons during school holidays.
Upon request, payment can be made in two installments.
If a teacher is sick or cannot teach the lesson, there is a substitute so that the lesson can continue.
In the unusual event that no substitute is available, the lesson will be held on another day.
Yes, we do exercises to improve your vocal technique. Because we sing a lot in the lessons, the stronger your voice and better your breathing will become.
Are you looking for something other than singing in a choir? Then check out our complete range of singing lessons and discover which form suits you best!
